Metal stamping is a general name for shearing, blanking, deep drawing, bending and so on. It has developed as a method of inexpensive and mass production in the field of electronic and automotive industries in the 20th century. Today, metal stamping is an inevitable skill for advanced technology like a robot, energy, medical and so on.
Metal stamping transforms flat metal sheets into shapes by using dies and machine presses. Putting materials between the die and machine press transforms material’s shape by high pressure. Mainly materials used for it are 0.05mm to 0.4mm. This process is high productivity for mass production and can process continuously and automatically.

Over the past few years, metal stamping has been replacing other metal forming processes (such as forging and die casting) because of the low production costs. The products can also be stronger and more durable than those made in other metal forming processes.
